Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 2 October 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to veterinary services provided by Homeward Veterinary Care. By requesting or accepting our services, you agree to these terms. Veterinary care will always be provided according to professional judgement, applicable legislation and relevant professional standards.

1. Our Veterinary Service

Homeward Veterinary Care provides mobile veterinary services for dogs and cats in Nottingham and surrounding areas. Services may include home consultations, preventative healthcare, vaccinations, microchipping, routine procedures, pet travel certification and compassionate end-of-life care.

The services that can safely and appropriately be provided in a home environment will be determined by the attending veterinary surgeon.

Where your pet requires investigations, treatment, hospitalisation, surgery or emergency care that cannot appropriately be provided at home, we may recommend referral or attendance at an appropriate veterinary practice or hospital.

2. Appointments

Appointments are arranged directly with Homeward Veterinary Care and are not confirmed until confirmation has been provided by us.

Please provide accurate information regarding your pet’s condition when requesting an appointment so that we can assess whether a home visit is appropriate.

Appointment times may occasionally be affected by travel, traffic, emergencies or the clinical needs of other patients. We will endeavour to inform you of significant delays.

3. Cancellations

If you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment, please provide as much notice as possible.

Homeward Veterinary Care reserves the right to charge a reasonable cancellation fee for appointments cancelled at short notice or where we attend the agreed address and are unable to carry out the appointment.

4. Fees and Payment

Fees will depend on the veterinary service provided, the location of the visit and, where applicable, your pet’s species, weight and individual requirements.

Prices displayed on our website are intended as a guide and may be subject to change. Where reasonably possible, additional costs will be discussed with you before treatment is provided.

Payment is due at the time veterinary services are provided unless another arrangement has been agreed in advance.

5. Prescriptions and Medicines

Veterinary medicines will only be prescribed and supplied where clinically appropriate and in accordance with applicable veterinary medicines legislation and professional requirements.

A veterinary examination may be required before prescription medicines can be supplied or repeated.

Written prescriptions may be available where appropriate and may be subject to a prescription fee.

6. Pet Travel and Certification

Animal Health Certificates (AHCs), Export Health Certificates (EHCs), OV66 certification and other travel documentation are subject to the requirements applicable to the destination, animal and intended journey.

Owners are responsible for providing accurate travel information and relevant documentation within sufficient time.

Issuing a certificate cannot be guaranteed until the veterinary surgeon is satisfied that all applicable requirements have been met.

Travel requirements can change, and owners remain responsible for checking requirements relating to their journey, carrier and destination.

7. Emergencies and Out-of-Hours Care

Homeward Veterinary Care is not an emergency or 24-hour veterinary service.

If your pet requires urgent or emergency veterinary attention, you should contact an appropriate emergency veterinary provider without delay.

Submitting a website form, email or other message does not constitute emergency veterinary assessment.

8. Owner Responsibilities

Owners are responsible for providing complete and accurate information about their pet’s health, medical history, current medication, known allergies and any other information relevant to veterinary care.

Please inform us before the visit if your pet has previously shown aggression, extreme fear or other behaviour that may affect the safety of the veterinary team.

Where necessary for safety or animal welfare, a consultation or procedure may be stopped or alternative arrangements recommended.

9. Consent to Treatment

Before treatment or procedures are undertaken, the veterinary surgeon will discuss relevant options where appropriate and obtain consent in accordance with professional requirements.

In some circumstances, written consent may be required.

10. End-of-Life Care

Home euthanasia is provided following veterinary assessment and where the attending veterinary surgeon considers euthanasia clinically and ethically appropriate.

Fees may vary according to factors including your pet’s species, weight, medication requirements and any cremation or aftercare arrangements selected.

Available aftercare and cremation options will be discussed where applicable.

11. Clinical Records

Homeward Veterinary Care maintains appropriate veterinary clinical records.

Where necessary for continuity of care, records or relevant clinical information may be obtained from or shared with other veterinary professionals or service providers, subject to applicable professional and data-protection requirements.

Please see our Privacy Policy for information about how personal information is handled.

12. Complaints and Concerns

If you have concerns about the service you have received, please contact us so that we have an opportunity to investigate and respond appropriately.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our services, professional requirements or applicable law. The latest version will be made available on our website.
